Getting Started
In-person or virtual sessions
I offer in-person and/or virtual sessions for common mental health concerns or challenges, addictions recovery, and relationship counselling. Sessions can be primarily in-person or virtually, or, a mix of both.
Person-centered
You are the expert of your life. Counselling is an engaging process with you in the lead, not something that happens to you. My goal is to provide you with an opportunity to learn or enhance skills, reconnect with your feelings, and provide reflection and perspective. I provide a courageous space where you can express how you are feeling and what you are thinking. I do my best to understand all the overlapping parts of your identity that make up who you really are.

“We are always more afraid than we wish to be, but we can always be braver than we expect”
- Sorilea (“Lord of Chaos” by Robert Jordan)
About Me
As a counsellor, I see my role as one of support and guidance. A counselling session is more than venting but telling one’s own story is helpful. Overall, counselling is an opportunity to explore a individual’s perspective, feelings, and coping skills. I believe people have capabilities that have allowed them to get to this point in their life. I teach skills to improve coping. I also offer space to allow people to know their inner self so they can have a richer relationship with themselves or their partner(s).
